Throughout May and June 2024, Galleri Image will host the Chinese visual artist Chen Zhe in an artist residency. During her stay in Denmark, Chen Zhe will take part in various network meetings in Aarhus and Copenhagen with Danish artists, art professionals and cultural institutions, and commence research on a future art project. As part of the residency, she will also participate in several public events, including an artist talk that will be announced soon on our website.
In 2022, Galleri Image showed Chen Zhe’s beautiful solo exhibition curated by Yining He entitled Towards Evenings, My Heart. The exhibition explored the twilight hours through a series of works from her Towards Evenings series, mixing photography, archival materials, sound, and literature. Thanks to a generous donation from the S. C. Van Foundation, we now look forward to welcoming her to Aarhus!
