Here, Maja Lee Langvad, author of ‘SHE IS ANGRY - A Testimony of Transnational Adoption’, meets in a conversation with Michelle Eistrup, Danish-Jamaican visual artist. Both are concerned with how identity is formed and with what it means when home is in multiple locations.  The event takes place in the exhibition New Tactics for Unseen Bodies, which includes Eistrup's works.

In connection with the exhibition No Name by Chinese artist Wang Ningde, Galleri Image has published a book by the same name. The publication contains a wide selection of photographic artworks from the series No Name, and two essays written by curator Lisa A. Orcutt and author Gitte Broeng about the artworks. Foreword is written by Beate Cegielska. Danish artist Lasse Krog Møller is the book's graphic designer.

Book release of the PWA 2018 Dummy Award winner: an essay on the concave city corner

In 2018 Photobook Week Aarhus presented the first ever PWA Dummy Award. The winning prize was having a dummy published as a real photobook.

The winning book of the first PWA Dummy Award was an essay on the concave city corner by Stijn Van der Linden, which was published in 2019 by Galleri Image in collaboration with Reflektor Platform and with support from Kvadrat. It is distributed by Idea Books, Amsterdam, in a media partnership with European Photography.

The Image Collection - Photographic Art Works

A publication on photographic art and the art of collecting not previously published in this form. We are very grateful that the renowned Spanish artist and curator Joan Fontcuberta has accepted our invitation to write a text on collections for our book. We are equally grateful that the Danish curator and researcher Louise Wolthers, PhD also agreed to write a text for the publication and Lasse Krog Møller himself contributes with images and a text on his exhibition.

Nordic Photography Network

Nordic Photography Network (NPN) is a network established in 2012 by five Nordic photography organisations: Northern Photographic Centre, Galleri Image, Forbundet Frie Fotografer, Fotogalleriet og Centrum for Fotografi. Today NPN consists of ten photography organisations. 

The objective of the network is to increase collaboration in the field of contemporary camera-based art within the Nordic countries. The network also aims at generating deeper, mutual knowledge of different artistic practices both within the Nordic countries and within a broader international context.

Book launch: "Keepers of the Ocean"

Galleri Image are proud to host the book launch of "Keepers of the Ocean", a new photobook by Inuuteq Storch published by Disko Bay on Friday 3 June 2022.The artist will be present.

Keepers of the Ocean is a personal exploration of intimacy with and within the overwhelming nature of west Greenland. The book portrays the close community of Storch’s hometown Sisimiut photographed over the past three years.Images from this book were shown in Galleri Image in the exhibition "Good Hope Keepers and the Mirrored Portraits of the Ocean" (October-December, 2021)
