Galleri Image presents the talk "Conversations About Time and Technology" with the artists Rebecca Krasnik, Sophia Ioannou Gjerding and Mark Tholander, moderated by Magdalena Tyżlik-Carver, Assistant Professor at Aarhus University.

Seminar
In cooperation with Århus Kunstbygning, Galleri Image will exhibit "Tourist's Tale" by the artists Jacob Tue Larsen, Marc Räder, Myne Soe Pedersen, Janet Cardiff / Charles Bures-Miller, Florian Slotawa, Walter Niedermayr, Tacita Dean and Patty Chang.
The exhibition is displayed from 23rd November 2007 - 20th January 2008 and it will be accompanied by two seminars on travel and tourism.
The exhibition is curated by Søren Lose and Johanne Lønstrup.
Galleri Image in "Kulturnatten"
Friday 12th October 2007 at 8-11pm.
In connection with Pernille With Madsen's exhibition "Scenes" the artist will make a unique performance. She will interact with the audience and do a mixture of both performance and a classical guided tour. The performance plays on interaction and questions the part of being both a part of the scenario and an outsider. There will also be quotes from different texts on the use of public space, excerpts from public service law, refrain from stadium-rock music, clips from TV entertainment, educational explanations, private considerations, political sayings as well as questions from the audience.

Seminar on rabbits and Japanese contemporary art in connection with the exhibition "Planet of Rabbits" by Toshie Takeuchi (Japan).
Based on Toshie Takeuchis photographic artworks the seminar deals with trends in Japanese contemporary culture. Talks by: Anne Mette Laursen (MA) lecturer in Japanese, Marie Roesgaard Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, and Gunhild & Castle Green Researchers at the Department of Arts and Science.

Seminar "Gertler, Stomachs & Reiser" in connection with the group exhibition "They Looked on the while it happened". Talks by April Gertler, Barak Reiser & Gianluca Maver about their individual works with examples of photographic and video works. The vision behind the artists' joint exhibition will also be discussed.
Program: April Gertler: The American artist has for six years been working on the project "Still". The project will form the basis for Gert Awards presentation. The cooperation with Maver and Reiser will also be discussed. Gianluca Maver: Through examples of his last three works: "Hospital", "Walking" and "River Arno", the Italian artist will talk about how come objectivity of the photograp is a central theme in his work. Barak Reiser: Through a display of earlier photographic works and video such as "Winter" and "Ziel", the Israeli / German artist will discuss how the work process transforms his artworks to be a quest that captures 'time' mechanically.
