Seminar: FRESH EYES on URBAN SPACE
The seminar focused on how in particular photography and literature can interpret and rethink urban space aesthetically, and artists, poets, architects, and researchers from all over the world will discuss the relationship between art, architecture, and the urban environment.
This all-day seminar offers a program which includes the architects Quentin Stevens (AUS) and Tom Nielsen (DK), the researchers Louise Mønster (DK) and Elisabeth Skou Pedersen (DK), the artists Hyun-jin Kwak (KR/SE), Tom Lovelace, and Julie Boserup (DK), the visual artist, poet and writer Christian Yde Frostholm as well as the poet Søren Ulrik Thomsen (DK). The program also includes two panel discussions under the direction of Claus Peder Pedersen, director of research at Aarhus School of Architecture, and Jesper Rasmussen, artist and former headmaster of the Jutland Art Academy, respectively.

Readings: Correspondence
Four of the artists participating in the Correspondence exhibition, combining visual art with the written word, read from their works, Norwegian Victoria Durnak and Audun Mortensen, Danish Christian Yde Frostholm and Amalie Smith. Curator and author Gitte Broeng also participated. The readings took place between the art works at Galleri Image.

We will meet in the blind spot - Mini Seminar and Book Launch
Galleri Image hosted a mini-seminar featuring Maj Hasager, the artist behind Galleri Image's exhibition We will meet in the blind spot, in conversation with Silvia Litardi (IT). The conversation covered topics from the film We will meet in the blind spot such as immigration, identity, and the role of art.

Galleri Image is hosting a seminar on contemporary Chinese art featuring artist and associate professor at CAFA Fei Jun, the Art reporter Pei Yan, and the Chinese photographer, performance and video artist Liu Jin.

As part of Art Weekend Aarhus, Galleri Image hosted a panel discussion between four Polish video and installation artist, who are featured in the exhibition seriesTerritories in the Demo Room at the gallery, together with the curator of the exhibition series, Aleksandra Księżopolska.

BOOK LAUNCH: Loving Belinda 
Galleri Image, the publishing house *[asterisk] and Jane Jin Kaisen are celebrating the book launch of the artist’s publication Loving Belinda.
The publication consists of illustrations from several of Jane Jin Kaisen’s projects from 2004-2015  including Loving Belinda, which is currently on display at Galleri Image. Textual contributions: Lene Myong, Louise Wolthers, Marianne Ping Huang, Morten Goll, Tobias Hübinette, Tone Olaf Nielsen¨.

Seminar: Loving Belinda - Tactics in Contemporary Art Addressing Race, Migration and Coloniality
Galleri Image will be hosting a seminar in collaboration with Aarhus Center for Visual Arts and Aarhus Center for Literature.
The seminar is organized in relation to Jane Jin Kaisen’s exhibition Loving Belinda at Galleri Image (January 9 - March 8 2015).
Through presentations by Jane Jin Kaisen, Marianne Ping-Huang, Louise Wolthers, Tone Olaf Nielsen, and Lene Myong, the seminar will discuss tactics in contemporary art addressing race, migration and coloniality.
