The winning book of the first PWA Dummy Award 2018 was an essay on the concave city corner by Stijn Van der Linden, which is now finally published in 2019 by Galleri Image in collaboration with Reflektor Platform and with support from Kvadrat.

Compile Your Inventory brought together a series of new works; in which layered analogue colour photograms formws an abstract narrative of collages to explore a dynamic of kinship, dislocation and displacement.

The group exhibition Staged Salvations, which was first shown at Galleri Image in August and September 2019, was on display in Lisbon as a part of PARALLEL Review Lisboa 2019. It was curated by Lovro Japundžić, and consisted of works from three artist - André Viking, Nils Stelte and Rocco Venezia.

On 9 November 2019 from 14:00-15:00, Galleri Image hosted a Q&A with Ida Nissen and Tom Lovelace, artist and Tutor at the Royal College of Art, on Ida Nissen's exhibition "Compile Your Inventory". During the event, they discussed Nissen's practice and the thoughts that went into the production of the exhibition.

The exhibition BLOWN AWAY was influenced by chaos theory and addressed the ways in which human actions can affect our surroundings and have more impactful consequences than can be predicted.

Galleri Image has published a catalogue in connection with the exhibition Staged Salvations. The catalog has three different covers, one for each artists, and can be bought at Galleri Image and through our website.

On Friday August 9th Galleri Image opened the new exhibition Staged Salvations, curated by Lovro Japundžić, which consists of works from three artist selected from the participants in PARALLEL -  European Photo Based Platform's second cycle, André Viking (DK), Nils Stelte (DE), and Rocco Venezia (IT).

How do artists work with photography and the body in a culture, where we all take photographs every day? In a interview book published by Galleri Image, four artists talk about contributing with tactical approaches to a culture saturated with images and controlled by large-scale political and commercial actors.

On 1 April 2019 artist Sarah Schorr ran a workshop for school children from the Aarhus elementary school Aarhus Academy for Global Education (AAGE), where they worked with and discussed the effects of the digital image. The basis for many of the questions raised in the workshop was the exhibition ScreenShots: Desire and Automated Image, which Sarah Schoor took part in with the piece Saving Screens: Temporary Tattoos and other Methods (2018). 

The exhibition ScreenShots: Desire and Automated Image investigated image and its apparatus of production which today is increasingly based on technologies of computation. 3D computer graphics, screen resolution protocols and machine learning algorithms are some of the contemporary technologies that are part of image making processes. At the same time, social media cultures of image capture and sharing sustain and maintain images and their production by daily labour when filters are applied, images are tagged and data is stored.

The one-day symposium which accompanied the exhibition ScreenShots: Desire and Automated Image featured artists and scholars who considered contemporary forms of image making and its computational apparatus.

In collaboration with PARALLEL - European Photobased Platform and Aarhus Center for Visual Art, from 13 January to 18 January, Galleri Image hosted the Croatian curator Lovro Japundžić.
