In 2013, five of Aarhus’ galleries held a one-day festival called Gallery Night. The galleries had longer opening hours and special exhibitions. The themes of the festival were, among others, art photography, women in art and art with a musical focus.Galleri Image exhibited video and photo pieces by artists Jeanette Ehlers (b. 1975), Patricia Kaersenhout, Sonja Lillebæk Christensen (b. 1972) and Gina Zacharias (b. 1975).

In 2013 Tom Lovelace visited Aarhus in the month of August to prepare his contribution to the project FRESH EYES - international artists rethink Aarhus.

Magdalena Bors' exhibition THE ART OF DOMESTIC COMPULSION, which was shown at Galleri Image in early 2013, was shown at Laznia Centre of Contemporary Art in Gdansk, Poland.

Galleri Image presented RENDEZVOUS WITH NATURE at Northern Photographic Centre in Oulu, Finland.

The exhibition showed work by six Danish artists, who all work with - and use the nature in their artistic production.

Galleri Image presented FOCUS NOW - DANISH PHOTOGRAPPHY  AND VIDEO ART in  Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The exhibition was made in collaboration with Photon Gallery and The Danish Embassy in Slovenien.

The Portuguese photographic artist Inês d' Orey visited Aarhus between December 1st and  December 11th.

During her stay she prepared her contribution to the project FRESH EYES - international artists rethink Aarhus.

Galleri Image presented the exhibition AONA (The Artificial Observation of Nature Alive) under the Photovisa Festival, Krasnodar in Southern Russia.

Galleri Image participated in this year's LIANZHOU FOTO 2013 in China.

The exhibition THE QUEEN, THE CHAIRMAN AND I refers to Tong's personal experience with migration, and reflects the cultural up-rootedness that pull wires back to his family's longstanding quest for cultural and national anchoring.

MUSIC OF BEING is the result of a longer journey to the Middle East and Central Asia, which Khaburzania undertook in 2007 and 2008. With a quiet and rather meditative expression Khaburzania interprets the relationship between the human mind and the physical world.

Magdalena Bors examines the obsession with creative mania through surreal and other worldly displays. Little in home accidents become landscapes of wool and illuminative castles of sugar.

Raw landscapes, mythological in scale - compelling yet unapproachable - are the visual framework surrounding the exhibition CURTAIN FALLS by Carina Zunino. By putting the nature of Iceland on stage she has created an installation with a series of photographic works.

THE LANDSCAPE IN BETWEEN interprets the anonymous landscapes in Denmark's military terrains. It portrays the fact that the landscape constantly is balancing between an innocent, pure, Golden Age like landscape and the brutality of the war landscape.

The Brazilian artist Calé is concerned with the life of people in urban centres and spaces. In the serie SEEKERS the artist addresses the belief that urban life stimulates us to be free individuals with our own will and with our own identity.
