takes
great
pleasure
in
presenting
a
new
exhibition
by
Camilla
Holmgren.
Camilla
Holmgren's
exhibition
"
Don't
Look
Now
"
reflects
with
elegant
coquettery
on
the
theme
of
woman
as
erotic
being.
Her
photographs,
taken
of
women
through
a
woman's
eye,
are
self
portraits
as
well
as
portraits
of
a
younger
woman
(Katrine).
Desire
and
eroticism
are
unveiled
simply
and
effectively
in
her
works,
which
create
both
open
and
closed
spaces
of
intimacy.
We,
as
viewers,
are
invited
into
her
intimate
universe.
We
are
met
with
inviting,
open
glances,
and
we
are
rejected
by
hidden
faces
turning
their
backs
on
us.
Camilla
Holmgren
utilises
both
sides
of
eroticism's
duplicity
in
her
photographs;
both
private
and
public
worlds
unfold
themselves
at
the
same
time
before
our
eyes.
Time
is
another
theme
that
plays
a
major
role
in
Holmgren's
universe.
Time
creates
movement
and
intimacy
in
these
spaces.
The
photographs
are
built
up
as
a
film
scenario,
in
sequences
and
series
that
tell
a
coherent
story.
Camilla
Holmgren's
works
portray
the
relationship
between
person,
space,
and
time,
and
show
how
we
stage
our
worlds
amidst
the
tension
of
sexual
desire.
